Mission

To manage the full renovation of the hotel with a full team. During this period the hotel remained open for guest and maintained its 5 Star service to many guest and celebrities. Due to its difficult logistical location in the heart of Amsterdam, the renovation project was a big challenge to all participating. The renovation has been done in close coordination with the municipality because of the high historic value and constrains of the building.

The Hotel

Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam is the first Sofitel Legend in Europe and the second Legend address in the world. It is a unique Brand of Sofitel combining the Historic background and value of the building and the 5 Star Luxury Sofitel standard. Its 122 rooms and 52 suites are situated in 7 different connecting buildings originating from the 1600's until 1989. Originally the building housed the Amsterdam Municipality head office and in the 17th century the Admiralty of Holland.

The hotel received 6 different F&B outlets after the renovation:

• Hotel bar The Flying Dutchman
• Garden Terrace 

In addition the Spa & Fitness and the indoor pool were fully renovated.

The Princenhof meeting facilities have a total of 12 meeting rooms including a high tech Boardroom with a total of 865 square meters of meeting space. In addition five historic meeting rooms have been renovated within their original surroundings.
