ISS Facility Services is partner in the PPP project for the renovation of Rijnstraat 8 in The Hague. Together with BAM and OMA they are responsible for the coming 25 years for this 100.000m2 property. The former Ministery of VROM is developed for many different departments of the Netherlands.
1000m2 of the project will be transformed into a unique foodconcept ‘Hofhouse’, with 6 food units, 2 pop-ups and 1 bar, managed by ISS. For the preparation and execution of Hofhouse, ISS contracted C&R Hospitality Services, because of their skills in managing complex projects with many partners within an exciting time frame.
The interior of Hofhouse is designed by architect OMA, Ellen van Loon and Saskia Simon. Both were also responsible for the Nhow Rotterdam. Unique part of the design is the ceiling of the famous Van Kleffenzaal, which is integrated in the design of Hofhouse. Besides the architectual impact of the Van Kleffenzaal, OMA developed together with Intos a unique paneling around the food units and bar, consisting of a resin surface with broken glass in it.
With a team of different consultants, contractors and suppliers the execution will take around 4 months and the opening will be in Q2 2017.
